WHY I DON'T GIVE MARKER ADVICE

For some reason, which still mystifies me, a lot of paintball players actually want to hear my opinion. While I am flattered that you value my opinion enough to ask me to help you on this very major purchase, I'm afraid I'm not going to give you any advice.

Here's why:

1. I do not recommend any marker to any player. I like to remain impartial and I do not publicly favour one marker over another. (It has always been my public image not to recommend specific brands, you'll notice I don't in my articles.)

2. I have recommended excellent markers only to discover the player received one of the rare markers that did not perform to factory specifications (that happens).

3. The main reason however, is this: Purchasing a marker is an individual thing and what is right for one player is not right for another, and I don't have all the answers. (Although sometimes I like to think I do, but that's a subject for another conversation .)

I suggest you post your question on the paintball newsgroup: rec.sport.paintball and get several opinions rather than just one.

It's not that I don't want to help you, but I really don't want to head you off in the wrong direction or influence you into getting something you might not be happy with.

Again, I am very glad you felt you could come to me for advice and I'm sorry that this response may not be the one you were hoping for, but I'm sure you understand.
