CURSE YOU, LITTLE PAINTBALL
A Poem By Durty Dan

You are round, and smooth, and small in weight.
You named this game, that's really great.
So how come you don't fly so straight?
Curse you, little paintball!

I draw a bead upon my foe,
to fill his day with dread and woe.
But you won't hit him, this I know.
Curse you, little paintball!

You flit around, without a care.
Like a roller coaster in the air.
Where you'll go, I know not where.
Curse you, little paintball!

I practice hard, while on the range.
Your consistency, it does not change.
But when I play, you go "all strange"
Curse you, little paintball!

I keep you clean and dry as bone,
your packaging I leave alone.
For your performance sets the tone.
Curse you, little paintball!

The freshest case, right from the store.
The accuracy I most adore.
But to hit something I still shoot more.
Curse you, little paintball!

I shoot a lot and when I'm done.
I see the havoc you have run.
You only broke inside my gun.
Curse you, little paintball!

A brand new barrel, made of brass,
to make you fly as smooth as glass
Still, you break on a blade of grass.
Curse you, little paintball!

I've tried it all, and then some more.
Like pouring teflon down the bore.
I've bought it all, and still need more.
Curse you, little paintball!

I must have spent ten thousand bucks,
enough to fill five million trucks,
and it still boils down to luck.
Curse you, little paintball!

What you do, it does make sense.
Logically, it is not dense.
What do you want for seven cents?
Curse you, little paintball!
